News and what not 9/10/2004: Har here...Nearly one year to the day after an accident that permanently damaged his right hand, Scot has once again picked up his pencils and paintbrushes to complete this painting for the upcoming "See Beyond the Music" gallery exhibit in Portland Oregon In addition to the mini-epic on the new 10" compilation EP, Christus and the Cosmonaughts have three more releases due to appear soon on BLRR. These include:
Scot would very much like to express his appreciation to all of his friends who and encouraged him to paint again. Special thanks goes to Chris McBeth of Beta-lactam Ring Records for his constant support of Scot's artistic pursuits. 8/23/2003: Ant here...and how's THIS for an update? Firstly, a bit of background. In January of 2000, I joined forces with Scot and Bret of the ever enigmatic Christus and the Cosmonaughts in an effort to create some music for the fine souls at Beta-Lactam Ring Records designed to A) Completely tear down and rebuild modern progressive space electronic experimental music and B) to do so in a esoteric, provocative and heart-stoppingly, dare I say it, sexy manner. Well, during the period of gestation of this project, I put out an album as noise626, got married and got to experience the joys of insulin, Scot put out about three albums worth of music as Prayer Capsule and got famous for, well, being Scot, and Bret continued his journey as the most fabulous bassist in the known universe. What am I'm getting at, my dear friends? The birth of the long-awaited Christus and the Cosmonaughts EP, The Four Whore's Man. And what a birth it is! 200 numbered & signed copies on 220 gram audiophile vinyl with our, count 'em, four different covers. 50 different covers silk-screened for Disease, War, Famine and Demise plus a special insert unique to each 50 of the 200 total. WOW! And all the artwork is done up really mind bending like by Scot Solida. Feast your eyes on the cover art: Needless to say, we are very, VERY excited about this. So, head to Beta-Lactam Ring's site and order it before it's gone. And now for something completely the same... Ant's solo project, noise626, has recently released a song featured in the www.Prog4You.com compilation called Progressive Rock For You, Volume One. It's called The Mirror, and it's a massive bit of prog rock oddness. For more info on the compilation, go to www.Prog4You.com or www.noise626.com.
That's all for now...thanks for reading and keep checking back, you'll be glad you did! pax Christus |
