About me...

Har

The first albums I ever owned as a very young child were Tangerine Dream's "Rubycon" and The Sandal's instrumental surf classic "Soundtrack to 'The Endless Summer'"...which may explain a few things about my somewhat warped taste in music.

I started playing piano at 7, guitar and bass at 15, synths at 16...and it's been a long, long ride ever since. I've recently started playing Chapman Stick as well.

I've played in numerous East Coast bands all through the 80's and 90's, and played on several fairly forgettable albums (as keyboardist and bassist) during the same time period, all of which are now out of print. Hmmm...a cursed jinx perhaps? Ooops, sorry Scot....!

I eventually "retired" from playing live gigs in 2002 so as to devote more time to writing and recording. And here I am.
I definitely gotta say: it's been a real thrill working with Scot; I've yet to have found someone who's musicial vision seems to work as closely in sync to my own as his does.

My own "solo" recording projects are in the works as well, which could be considered being in a prog-rock/industrial/ambient/experimental/electronic/goth-metal/EBM/surf kind of style...or not. First album of ambient guitar soundscapes to be released when I can finally take a break from working on all of these other things. More general info can be found on my own website at ambientguitarist.com.

I also write music software reviews for Grooves Magazine (along with Scot), and run the technical side of their website.

And that's all the stuff I do during my free time: by day I'm webmaster for several software corporations. So that basically means I spend most of my waking hours parked in front of a computer. Except when I'm working on music...then I'm usually parked in front of a computer, with a guitar plugged into it.

It's a beautiful thing...
